About Us
Carrier Clinic is a private, not-for-profit behavioral healthcare system founded
in 1910 that specializes in psychiatric and addiction treatment. We offer a full array
of specialized care to adolescents, adults and older adults at many levels – inpatient,
residential, educational and outpatient. Carrier’s objective is to return individuals
to their family, work and community in the shortest time possible.
Carrier offers the following programs:
Psychiatric Inpatient Hospitalization
At Carrier, hospital stays tend to be brief, with the goal of crisis intervention,
medical stabilization and transition to the next appropriate level of care. Treatment
teams consist of a psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse, licensed clinical social workers,
allied clinical therapists and certified addiction counselors.
Inpatient Programs include:
- Psychiatric Acute Care
- General Adult Psychiatric & Dual Diagnosis
- Adolescent Psychiatric & Dual Diagnosis (ages 13-18)
- Older Adult Psychiatric & Dual Diagnosis (ages 65+)
Addiction Services include:
- Residential Addiction Recovery
- Residential Detoxification
- Residential Rehabilitation
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Adolescent Services include:
- Inpatient Hospitalization
- East Mountain School
- East Mountain Youth Lodge
Special Services:
- Electroconvulsive Therapy –(ECT) is offered as both an inpatient and outpatient
service
